Shani Rea Collymore, Esq
Shani Rea Collymore has been practicing in the field of estate planning and elder law since 2009. She joined the law office of Madge & Johnson, PC in 2014 and continues to help clients with all of their estate planning and elder law needs.
Shani has a decade of experience advising individuals and families on how to protect their wealth and plan for their financial futures. Her practice ranges from creating estate plans for young couples with minor children who need trusts and guardians set up to protect their children, to more complex estate plans aimed at protecting assets from long term care expenses or reducing estate taxes.
Shani enjoys being able to help families feel secure knowing they have created the appropriate estate plan for their family’s needs. Additionally, she recognizes the loss of a loved one is possibly the hardest time in a family’s life. Helping families navigate this stressful and difficult time with ease is one of her greatest talents.
Shani is a graduate of Northeastern University where she obtained a B.S. in Criminal Justice. She went on to study law at Suffolk University Law School where she obtained her J.D.
When not practicing law, Shani enjoys giving back to the community. She conducts a monthly legal clinic at the Westford Senior Center and regularly lectures on topics in estate planning and elder law.
Shani is a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MassNAELA). She is a past Board Member of the Women’s Bar Association, and Mentor for the Women’s Bar Foundation’s, Elder Law Project. The Elder Law Project creates basic estate planning documents for indigent elderly community members. Shani also served as a Board Member for Starting Out Solo, Inc. from 2010 – 2014, an organization designed to assist attorneys starting solo practices.
Shani has been designated as a Massachusetts Rising Star attorney by Super Lawyers in 2018 and 2019
